Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering

Overview

Elise graduated with her BE in Mechanical Engineering and BS in Mathematics from Youngstown State University in 2019. Shortly after, she began her studies as a PhD student in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Dynamics and Controls at Cornell University under the funding of the National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship Program. Elise studies the early stages of Multiscale Granular Stacking - an additive manufacturing technology that exploits unprocessed lunar regolith grains and minimal earth resources as a means of in-situ resource utilization for lunar construction. Elise also spends time with the Canadian Space Mining Corporation as a Project Engineer where she contributes to a major Canadian Space Agency project focused on lunar surface exploration as well as research and development for company projects.
