We live in a special time where we know enough to design a spacecraft to look for life, either as we know it or possibly in un-Earthly forms. Interestingly, our search is now focused on moons of the outer solar system, specifically Jupiter’s moon Europa and Saturn’s moons Enceladus and Titan. Although these worlds are far outside our Sun’s “habitable zone”, they are considered the prime candidates for harboring current life beyond Earth.
